The first thing we do is create a detailed floor plan so we know what will be required in each space. We then determine the ideal size and scale of each piece and provide a complete list of furniture required for each room. At Lush Interiors, we typically provide 1-2 furniture layouts for each room, depending on the functionality of that space.
As interior designers we work closely with you to determine how you want your home to FEEL. Interior design can be an emotional experience so we ensure you are comfortable with not only the look, but the feel of each space. Careful consideration is also taken to ensure there is a design flow from one room to another. Creating this cohesive look and feel is paramount in interior design. Our clients often don’t know what their design style is, so communication and collaboration is key to achieve the desired design aesthetic when furnishing a new home.
Every so often our clients have pieces that they want to incorporate into the new design. Whether it’s an antique or vintage heirloom or a sofa that needs to be recovered, it’s important to take those pieces into consideration when determining both floor plans and design aesthetics. We measure and often photograph those pieces to incorporate them into the new design.
We typically do not shop retail, we curate from our established manufacturers and partners to get the desired look and budget for you. This saves you both valuable time and money. We’ve found many clients are more focused on the outcome rather than the budget itself, but we can provide 2-3 options and price points for each large furniture piece to meet your budget requirements. There are times when we invest more on one piece and source a budget friendly option for the remaining pieces.
This is the most exciting part of the project. Our team facilitates delivery, installation, and styling of your new furniture. Accessorizing in just as important as purchasing all that furniture as it allows us to pull together the look and deliver on the feel that the client wants. Without it, your house is just a space full of furniture. After we put the finishing touches on the space, we walk you through the entire home, room by room and allow you to discover and delight in your new space. Bring the Kleenex, as this is the most emotional and for us, best part of it all!
