This brand-new home in Cranston was purchased for a newly blended family and they wanted to make it feel like a home for the entire family. This was a turnkey project, so when finished, the clients brought only their clothes and the 3500 square foot home was move-in ready. Our Interior Design Team had the luxury of selecting every detail, right down to linens, housewares, art and accessories.
The owners wanted to make it feel like home for each member of the family so everyone provided input into what their dream home would look like. Each of the children had their own distinct design style so their bedrooms were decorated to suit their taste. We added a custom oversized sectional in the bonus room along with family-friendly upholstered ottomans to provide space for the kids to hang with friends and watch movies. The main floor was decorated using a warm and inviting colour palette with custom drapes and family-friendly custom furniture. The basement was designed as the ultimate entertainment space with custom furnishings, a reclaimed wood wall and accessories.
Key Features:
• We added custom draperies and furnishings throughout the main floor. The dining chairs were covered in outdoor fabric to stand up to a busy family of six.
• Each bedroom was designed with its own theme for the kids, showcasing their unique personalities so their new rooms would feel like their own.
• The second-floor bonus room was redesigned as a hangout space for the girls. We incorporated a custom sectional upholstered in family friendly fabric and additional ottomans to add more seating and lounging space. The playful use of colour in the accessories will keep it fun and youthful.
• We created a cozy office space for Mom using wallpaper, a custom bench seat, and custom area carpet along with additional storage and display built in.
• We used luxurious fabrics and finishes in all custom furnishings and injected pops of colour in the bench seat and toss pillows.
• Blackout draperies were added to keep rooms dark and cozy.
• We created a timeless palette in both design and finishes for the bedroom and ensuite.
• Each girl was interviewed and set the direction for their bedrooms. Custom drapery was incorporated into all rooms, and we kept the budget in check with ready-made bedding and furnishings.
